Born in Philadelphia and raised in Haverford, Robert is a product of St. Denis Elementary School, Malvern Prep, St. John’s University New York and Villanova School of Law.  Robert majored in Accounting at St. John’s University before moving on to Villanova School of Law where he obtained a J.D. degree in 1976 . He recently moved to Wynnewood from University City, Philadelphia. While at University City, he served on the board of the Spruce Hill Community Association for approximately ten years. He was also active with the University City Arts League, Friends of Clark Park, and another institution known as Books Through Bars. He occasionally contributed articles and photographs to the local paper, known as The University City Review.

Having passed the C.P.A. exam, he maintains a relationship with the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s and previously held a position of co-chair of the Committee on Cooperation with the Bar of the PICPA. He is currently a member of the Attorney/ CPA forum of the Delaware County Bar Association. Robert also serves as a member of the Professional Advisor Network of the Philadelphia Foundation. He serves on the board of his condominium association in Wynnewood, and also serves on the board of UU Outreach, an institution designed benefit Senior Citizens of Germantown Philadelphia.  He is a member of the Delaware and Montgomery County Bar Elder Law Committees, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  He is married to Ann DiCorcia-Gasparro, a gerontological nurse practitioner. He is active in the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Joseph Priestly District.

Robert is an occasional bicyclist, sailor and golfer. He has run at least one 10K road race every year for the past thirty years; he ran the Philadelphia Marathon in 2004 and hopes to run again within the next few years, before attaining the age of 70.
