ReplyOh I doubt very much that she's a fool. I think you're jealous of her success or have some other issue. You call her names and say you know her. She's a hard working meteorologist and wife and mother of 2 who finds time to train for 10 mile races. It's easy to call famous successful people names

ReplyI think the immediate threat of bodily harm is enough once the home was broken into. I'd be very surprised any DA wd not charge the criminals with some degree of robbery (1st vs 2nd vs 3rd). Homeowner's justification to fire a weapon is just that and all the elements of the crime of robbery are met. So I stand by my and everyone else who has an opinion. A home has unique status. If you're there when one with intent to remove your possessions breaks and enters, the confrontation changes the definition of the crime. If the robbers flee w/o taking anything because u fired first, it's attempted robbery.

ReplyWe can use deadly force in PA to defend our homes while being robbed or intruded but it is not unconditional. Depending on the circumstances the DA may not prosecute if it doesn't think a jury will convict. Criminals shot and killed by homeowners won't get much sympathy in Del County at least. Probably true in Montco.

Clearly u don't know the dif between burglary and robbery and poor uneducated hubris 1 was correct. If you're there, it's robbery. If you're not, it's burglary. One is crimin falsi. Guess which one? You join as a new member yesterday and then u insult our intelligence when u don't even know what you're talking about.

ReplyIf either of you had any intelligence or sensitivity to the senseless violence on Patriots Day you'd understand the patriotism Cecily is promoting. I appreciate her desire to try out different socks ahead of a 10 mile run as her wisdom and experience requires. There's nothing worse than a blister on a long run, but I don't expect everyone to know what it takes to be fit and be able to complete 10 miles in about an hour like Cecily can.

ReplyThis issue may be the most serious human rights violation that the comfortably numb Main Line may be contributing to. Do you know whether what you buy is made by human trafficked labor? That's the modern way of a world wide slave trade. It's time we found out whether we are part of the problem ....

ReplyI would tend to believe that local businesses would see increased foot traffic when such a large event descends upon the community.
