Not all businesses and services are suspended for the Christmas holiday. The following businesses are keeping Christmas hours.
The holiday season doesn't stop unusual crimes around the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Grinch Strikes Roxborough-ville: According to a report from Roxborough Patch, police had several reports of packages being stolen from doorsteps in December. There were four reported incidents of packages being taken while homeowners were out, including an incident in which 100 wooden arrows were reported taken. See when the township will ring in the holidays.
The holidays are coming to Haverford. The township's annual Christmas Tree lighting is on Friday, Dec 14 at the Brookline Fire company, according to a release from the township. The lighting is at 7 p.m., but the doors to the fire station will be open at 6:20. Those interested can bring an unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program. Representatives from the Marines will be picking up donated toys on Friday before the lighting.

I really miss the old Haverford Patch, where the stories were originally written and it was about Havertown. See, I would like to know what the store hours for Havertown's Superfresh would be for Christmas Day, not the hours for Wynnewood's Superfresh.
