Copper Gutters Swiped From Trinity Lutheran Church

The crime was the second of its kind in the township this month.

Havertown Township Police are investigating a copper theft from a local church, the department confirmed Friday afternoon. According to Sergeant Shant Bedrossian, six copper gutters were stolen from Trinity Lutheran Church the morning of October 10. Bedrossian said the church reported the gutters are worth approximately $150 each. The department does have a suspect. The church’s video surveillance system captured a white male in his 30s with tattooed arms removing the gutters. He wore a white tank top and athletic shorts at the time of the crime. Local Youth Group Gets a Taste of Homelessness

Teens brave heat and rain to raise money for local homeless shelter.

A small group of local teens braved the heat and rain on Friday night as they attempted to sleep outside in a “box city” to bring awareness to the homeless issue in Delaware County. “While their numbers may have been small, they had a big message—the homeless need our help,” said Dolores Littleton, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Havertown, whose church sponsored the youth group activity. This is the second year that the youth group has done this to raise money for homeless programs.
