Manoa Kids Unleash A Spot-On Musical

Manoa Elementary School goes to the dogs.. the singing and dancing dogs.

  Manoa Elementary School let the dogs out this weekend in a spot-on production of 101 Dalmations Kids. Featuring a fabulously fiendish Cruella De Vil and dozens of delightful dalmations, the Manoa students transformed the theater at Haverford Middle School with paw prints on the walls and a dalmation-themed set. Last Chance: Kindergarten Pre-Registration Ends This Week

Kindergarten pre-registration for students entering schools in the Haverford School District will end on Feb. 8.

For parents looking to register their children in kindergarten within the Haverford School District, save the date: pre-registration call-in dates started on Monday and will last until Friday, Feb. 8. Registration appointments will begin on Feb. 21. If your child will be five years old on or before August 31, 2013, and is a resident of Haverford Township, he or she will be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2013-2014 school year, according to the Haverford School District website. Parents and guardians should plan to begin the kindergarten registration process by calling their local elementary school this week. Calls will be accepted between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. only. Callers will use their elementary school’s assigned extension…

Haverford School Board Appoints New Manoa School Principal

Springfield resident Kyle Hammond will replace Daniel Horan.

Kyle Hammond, assistant principal of Great Valley Middle School, was appointed the new principal of Manoa Elementary School by the Haverford Board of School Directors on Thursday night. Hammond will replace Daniel Horan, who is leaving his helm at Manoa Elementary School in Havertown to become Haverford Middle School’s principal on July 1. Hammond will be paid a pro-rated salary of $122,000 and his appointment will become effective approximately on July 15, 2012, according to information about the appointment which was included in the superintendent’s written report to the school board. New Principal Chosen to Lead Haverford Middle School

MS Principal Carol Restifo is retiring after 41 years with the Haverford Township School District.

Daniel Horan, the principal of the Manoa Elementary School in Havertown, will become the new principal of the Haverford Middle School this summer. The current middle school principal, Carol Restifo, is retiring at the end of the 2011-2012 school year, after spending 41 years working for the Haverford Township School District. During a school board meeting on Thursday night, the Haverford Township Board of School Directors voted unanimously to appoint Horan the new middle school principal, effective July 1, 2012, with a yearly salary of $134,000.
