RECALL: 5,000 Pounds of Frozen Chicken Dinners Recalled, Possible Listeria

The product sold in local Trader Joe's stores is considered ready-to-eat and subject to pathogen testing since the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service has zero-tolerance for pathogens.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is recalling 240 cartons of Trader' Joe's Frozen Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice.  The Media, Wayne and Ardmore Trader Joe's stores confirmed the product was sold in their stores. Store representatives say that consumers are welcome to return the product to be disposed of properly. The product being recalled is considered ready-to-eat and subject to pathogen testing since FSIS has zero-tolerance for pathogens in RTE foods at time of production, even if that food requires heating for proper serving.
