Journal Lists Philly Area's 100 Wealthiest Zip Codes

Zip codes along the Main Line scored high on the top 100.

Villanova, Gladwyne and Merion Station top the Philadelphia Business Journal's list of the Greater Philadelphia Area's 100 wealthiest zip codes. The Journal's list comes courtesy of Esri, a geographic information provider. The site does not disclose its method for ranking the zip codes. 1 Delco ACME to Close

Find out which area supermarkets got spared the axe from SUPERVALU cuts and which will be closing.

ACME in Broomall will remain open, but the Acme in Sharon Hill will be closing, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.  Corporate owner SUPERVALU Inc. announced Wednesday in a news release that it will close about 60 stores nationwide, including 38 supermarkets, that are deemed "underperforming or non-strategic." The chain, which owns Malvern-based ACME, spared the Roxborough and Andorra stores. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Sharon Hill, Morrisville,  and Glassboro, NJ will see their ACME stores close before Dec. 1, 2012. An additional Acme will close in Stevensville, MD.
