Commissioners Give OK To Hire 7 New Police Officers
Board of Commissioners President William Weschler told those who attended the commissioners meeting that the township is not going to be over budget by hiring the officers.
The Haverford Township Commissioners gave the approval to hire seven new police officers once they complete exam requirements. Haverford Township Police Chief Carmen Pettine told the Haverford-Havertown Patch before the Monday, Aug. 8, meeting started that the seven officers need to complete their exams before officially being hired. An official swearing in ceremony is set to take place Wednesday, Sept. 7, he said.
