Christmas Snow Could Mark Christmas Eve, Day

White Christmas could occur as Santa comes to town.

It might be light, but this Christmas could be white. With a 90 percent chance of precipitation, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 could see some snowfall this year. The National Weather Service predicts a mix of rain, snow and sleet through 4 a.m. Dec. 25. Temperatures will hover around 33 degrees, allowing some chance of Christmas snow. Even if the rain changes to flurries, little to no snow accumulation is expected in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Visit weather.gov for more info on your local forecast.

Get a Letter From Santa for Your Child

Thanks to a very special U.S. Postal Service program, "Santa" will reply to children who mail him their Christmas wish lists this holiday season.

Every year, millions of children sit down to make a wish list for Santa, hoping he will make all of their Christmas dreams come true. But what if Santa actually wrote back? The United States Postal Service is now accepting "Letters From Santa," a program that allows any person to play Santa by sending a letter signed by Saint Nick to any child. According to a postal service news release, "The 'Letters From Santa' program helps parents fulfill the dreams of their own children." Instructions to send a letter from Santa: TELL US: Do your children or children in your family plan on writing a letter to Santa this year?

Where to Buy a Tree in Haverford

There are a few local options for purchasing "tannenbaums."

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, many people will be looking to purchase a Christmas tree. Here are a couple of places to pick one up: A 2011 Patch article gave some additional details about local sellers, and about how to make Christmas trees last:

Too Early For Holiday Music?

Patch asks when Christmas jingles jive with you.

It feels like we've barely put away Halloween costumes and decorations and already the music is starting. I was picking up some non-Christmas things at Toys R Us the other day and what should I hear over the speaker system, but holiday music, mixed with other tunes. Local radio stations are pulling out the holiday favorites. But is it too early for B101 and BEN-FM to "Rock Around the Christmas Tree," if Tom the Turkey hasn't been properly stuffed? Is it too early for Christmas carols? What's your favorite Christmas carol? Do you prefer the holiday classics or more modern Christmas tunes? Let us know you think by voting in our poll and sharing your comments.
