106-Year-Old Former Haverford Resident Dies

Mary Baker Supplee, formerly of Havertown, died Thursday at 106, leaving a legacy of service and a family lineage that traces back to a signer of the Declaration of Independence. According to an obituary posted on Legacy.com, Mrs. Supplee was a direct descendant of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, one of the signers of the Declaration. According to the Legacy.com obituary, Mrs. Supplee was the "widow of Henderson Supplee, Jr., a past president and chairman of the former Atlantic Refining Company, a past chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of Philadelphia and charter trustee of Princeton University, died peacefully at Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square."
