Vehicle Fire Causes Backups on 476

Truck inferno snarls traffic on the Blue Route for part of Tuesday morning.

A vehicle fire on I-476/Blue Route northbound caused traffic delays Tuesday morning. According to a release from Pennsylvania Department of Trasnportation via its Twitter feed, a vehicle caught fire on 476 Southbound near the St. David's exit before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to 6ABC, the vehicle, a truck, was carrying water and was put out by area firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Patch isn't local anymore. Peter your a good example of what I'm talking about with cross posting stories just to drive up the UVs. It sounds like you're in Narberth but I'm in Havertown. I remember when Patch was "hyper" local. Now it's barely "hyper" regional.   more ›
