County Looking For Volunteers To Build Emergency Response Team

Delaware County Medical Reserve Corps will hold an orientation for interested county residents looking to assist emergency response teams during a disaster on July 10 at the Tinicum Township Fire Department.

 

The Delaware County Medical Reserve Corps is currently building their citizen voulunteer teams to help emergency response teams during a disaster.

Both medical and non-medical volunteers are needed. The Delaware County Medical Reserve Corps will hold an orientation on July 21st at Tinicum Township Fire Department for all interested volunteers.

The county is joining a national initiative geared toward encouraging individuals to volunteer to assist during public health events.

The Medical Reserve Corps is a branch of Citizen Corps and offers medical professionals and other non-medically qualified volunteers the opportunity to receive training and to be part of a team to support a broad range of emergency/disaster responses to help our fellow citizens in the county, according to the county.
