1/28 Heritage Trail Improvement Day

Friends of Haverford Trails 1/28 Karakung Trail Improvement Day

"Calling all hikers!  The Boy Scout Troop 434 from Llanarch is working on Haverford HeritageTrail improvements this Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Karakung Drive and could use some helping 'Trail' hands.

"All are welcome. This part of the trail was originally laid in as an Eagle Scout project for hikers and joggers and provides a safer alternative to walking on the Karakung Drive shoulder.

"Activities will include clearing overgrowth in a few areas, realigning it around one boggy area and placing wood chips on the trail (supplied by the township). If you want to pitch in on what should be a great day to get some fresh air, join the Scouts and lend a hand.
