So Disappointed in Haverford Recreation Center

Haverford Recreation Center Disappoints this taxpayer

Well, I have to say I am so disappointed in the final project of the Haverford  Reserve. I had such high hopes, and while it is an asset to the community I am left with the feeling that it could have been so much more.

The fields have issues, there is not enough parking, the fitness center is small and not competitively priced for gyms nearby.

And the "party" rooms, while adequate, do not allow for alcohol due to current township restrictions. If it is for children's parties only, then the rooms' decor is way off.

The basketball court is great, but the walking path above it is narrow and oddly shaped.

What a shame.

@Trish maybe you should have posted as Jane Doe so John Doe could be ridiculously commenting on another pseudonym ;)
I agree with you Trish. It could have been so much more.

I think the Rec center is great and cant disagree more with Trish's comments. Haverford Township did a great job on the Reserve.

I went by yesterday. The Rec center cardio and strength equipment have segmented use by group and time; guaranteeing equipment is available when you need it. A pretty good idea! The last thing the township needs is a lawsuit from a drunk driver incident; from that end my taxpayer dollars are happy not allowing alcohol. Trish makes a compelling comment about the decor not matching purpose though. Tennis courts would be nice.

The President's speech was more than the top 10 highlights. He thanked the Havertown community asRead More part of the village that raised their children
