Hilltop Civic Association's Independence Day Celebration

The Hilltop Civic Association's Independence Day Celebration will take place Thursday morning with a decorated bike and costume parade to Hilltop Field.

The Hilltop Civic Association's Independence Day Celebration will take place Thursday morning beginning at Bon Air Fire Co. (on Royal Avenue in Havertown) with a decorated bike and costume parade to Hilltop Field.

At Hilltop Field, Independence Day will be celebrated with prizes, family races, and games, and complimentary soft pretzels and water ice provided by Hilltop Little League.

At the event, people will have the opportunity to write a letter to a member of the military stationed overseas. There will also be an HCA membership table where residents can pay your 2013 dues, which are $10 per household and help to fund community events like the July 4th celebration.

Schedule of Events

9:40 a.m. Contestants line up for the parade

10:00 a.m. Parade begins

10:30 a.m. Parade arrives at Hilltop Field. Contestants go to designated areas for judges.

10:50 a.m. Prizes awarded. 

11:00 a.m. Family races and games begin.

11:45 a.m. Festivities end.
