Haverford H.S. Hosted Locks of Love

Students at the recently hosted a Locks of Love event, where $150 was raised, according to a press release issued by the school.

"This was the third year the school hosted the event to benefit the non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis," stated the press release.

About 50 people donated their hair—with 21 of them getting a buzz cut—as 12 area hair stylists did the honors.

A total of 1,685 inches of hair was donated to Locks of Love, the press release stated.
