On Tuesday, Nov. 15, Senior Swimmer Shane Ryan signed a national letter of intent to attend Penn State University and compete for the Nittany Lion Swimming and Diving team.
Shane, the reigning 2-time Central League Swimmer of the Year, has earned accolades as a 10-time All-American for various events over his career. He recently finished in in his signature event, the 100-Meter Backstroke.
He is currently a member of the U.S. National Youth Team, which features swimmers who hold Top 6 times in their respective events compared to their peers, nationally.

Shane has qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials, which will be held in Omaha, Nebraska, in June, 2012," writes Matt Stewart, Haverford High School's Head Swimming/Diving Coach.
