Radio Legend Visits Haverford High

The alumni, Friends of Sean Quinn, will make a donation to the station in honor of Officer Quinn.

The student staff of Haverford High’s student radio station, WHHS, participated in a workshop Friday with radio legend WMGK’s John DeBella during an alumni event to honor Lower Merion Police Officer Sean Quinn, who died earlier this year.

DeBella led the workshop at 5 p.m. in the Kal and Lucille Rudman Studio at Haverford High School. At 6 p.m. there were tribute presentations and donations, and from 6:15 to 8 p.m. there was a live radio tribute show you can listen to on WHHS (99.9 FM).

The alumni, Friends of Sean Quinn, will make a donation to the station in honor of Officer Quinn for $893 in recognition of the station’s frequency when they were student staff at WHHS, which was 89.3 FM.
