New Director of Facilities & Maintenance Joins Haverford School District

Robert Lester recently joins the Haverford School District as the district's director of facilities & maintenance.

Robert Lester was recognized and welcomed by school board directors at a recent Haverford Township School District board meeting on Dec. 6.

According to Superintendent William Keilbaugh, Lester joins the district with over 20 years of experience from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Lester served as the director of engineering for the convention center.

According to a recent job posting on the Haverford School District website, the director of facilities & maintenance's job responsibilities are as follows:

The Director will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the maintenance, repair and alteration of district building and grounds; serving as the district representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction; ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; preparing and managing the annual budgets for the maintenance, grounds and custodial departments; and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources. This job reports to the Business Manager.
