Haverford School Frosh Becomes Youngest Ever to Commit to DI Program

Forry Smith has reportedly committed to play lacrosse for Johns Hopkins after he graduates in 2016.

Forry Smith, a freshman at The Haverford School, has verbally committed to play lacrosse at Johns Hopkins after he graduates, Lacrosse Magazine is reporting.

According to the magazine it is the earliest commitment ever to a Division 1 sports program.

It was an exceptional move for a young man who is, by all accounts, an exceptional player. The 6-foot 2-inch, 175-pound Smith, in addition to his exploits for the Fords, plays for Dukes Lacrosse Club and has suited up for the Philadelphia Fever and Mesa Fresh travel teams.
