Haverford School Announces Graduation Speaker

There are 101 men in the school's class of 2014.

The following was provided to Patch by The Haverford School:

Daniel J. Kaufman, Ph.D., president and CEO of Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, will address the Class of 2014 during The Haverford School’s 130th commencement ceremony in the School’s Field House, on Friday, June 6, at 2 p.m.

Dr. Daniel J. Kaufman is president and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. He is a decorated veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. In addition to a lengthy academic career at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Kaufman worked for the White House National Security Council and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Kaufman received his bachelor's degree at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a master's in Public Administration at Harvard University and his Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He and his wife, Kathryn, are both natives of Brunswick, Georgia. They have two children, two granddaughters, and one grandson.
