"Kids Helping Schools hosted a basketball tournament for charity on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012. Middle school students from the Main Line area played basketball alongside students from West Philadelphia’s Global Leadership Academy at the Shipley School.
"Each teach had kids from The Main Line’s Shipley, , Episcopal Academy, Friends Central, Welsh Valley and West Philadelphia’s Global Leadership Academy (GLA).
"Not only did the kids have fun competing in the tournament, but they also took a step towards building a lasting relationship between GLA and several Main Line schools," Jill Aschkenasy writes in a press release.

The group has raised more than $14,000 through its various charities.
