Student Staff at Haverford High's WHHS (99.9 FM) Unveil New Equipment

HAVERTOWN, PA - WHHS student staff welcomed back Kal Rudman to see their updated radio studio at Haverford High School on Thursday, January 30.  The Kal and Lucille Rudman Studio received a technological upgrade including digital consoles and state of the art computers thanks to a generous gift from the Kal and Lucille Rudman Foundation last year. Radio and music industry legend Kal Rudman toured the remodeled studio and spoke with students about their radio training experience.

Thanks to Rudman's donation a number of other groups volunteered to help. The Haverford Education Foundation donated funds for the upgrade and School Director Russ Bilotta connected the students with Neumann University staff who helped choose and install equipment. One of the oldest running high school FM stations in the United States, WHHS has persevered when the number of high school radio stations has dropped to only 200 left across the nation.
