Lynnewood Students Perfect in Word Masters Challenge

HAVERTOWN - Lynnewood Elementary School fourth grader Katie Lenz and fifth grader Nadia Awad each achieved a perfect 20 in the WordMasters Challenge™ -a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 150,000 students annually. Nationwide, only 50 fourth graders and 29 fifth graders achieved this result. A team representing Lynnewood achieved Highest Honors in the recent WordMasters Challenge™. The third grade team scored an impressive 172 points out of a possible 200 in the first of three meets this year, placing fifth in the nation. The students were coached in preparation for the WordMasters Challenge™ by Mrs. Laurie Ardoline and their language arts teachers.
