Lynnewood Elementary "Tickled Pink" by Reading

HAVERTOWN—Lynnewood Elementary School held a school –wide reading incentive this fall called “Are You Tickled Pink?”  If each student read 10 minutes a night then the staff would be “Tickled Pink.”  Students exceeded the goal, and so Teachers and staff responded by dying their hair pink!  The whole school was literally “Tickled Pink” through reading.

Terry Kerick, Librarian at Lynnewood Elementary said, “We developed the program in order to welcome students back to school and encourage them to get excited about reading.  The students did even more that we expected.”
