Residential Real Estate Held Steady in August

Property settlements in Haverford Township during August of 2013 held steady from the same month last year.

Property settlements in Haverford Township during August of 2013 held steady from the same month last year. 

According to a report from Prudential Fox and Roach, there were 62 properties that closed in August, compared with 63 from last year. That number was 40 in August 2011. 

The median price of the properties that did sell in August of 2013 increased about four percent over the same period last year, from $273,000 to $283,250, both down from $290,000 in August 2011.

The average days on the market decreased by nearly 20 percent from 60 to 49 days between last August and this August.
