May Home Settlements Holding Steady From Last Year

The number of properties settled this May in Haverford Township is a big jump from two years ago.

May home settlements in Haverford Township are holding steady compared with the same month last year. 

According to a report from Prudential Fox and Roach, there were 78 properties that closed in May, compared with 77 from last May. Both are a big jump from May, 2011 when only 44 homes changed hands.

The median price of the properties that did sell in May was $270,000. That was up slightly from last May, when it was $267,500.

The average days on the market last month in Haverford Township was 72 days, down from 93 for the same month last year, according to the report.
