Home Sales, Prices Up in Haverford Township

Read how Haverford Township June closings compared with other Main Line municipalities.

Property settlements in Haverford Township during the month of June jumped in 2013 compared with the same month last year. 

According to a report from Prudential Fox and Roach, there were 81 properties that closed in June, compared with 70 from last June. Both are a big jump from June, 2011 when only 62 homes changed hands.

(Seventy-eight properties closed last month, compared with 77 from last May and 44 the prior year.)

The median price of the properties that did sell in June was up about 5 percent from last year at $282,000. That was up slightly from last June, when it was $269,000, but down from the year prior when it was $309,000, according to the report.

The average days on the market last month in Haverford Township decreased by 22 percent from last June, from 68 to 53 days.
