Home Sales Keep Growing in Haverford Township

There were 300 properties that closed from January to June.

Property settlements in Haverford Township during the first half of 2013 increased for the third year in a row.

According to a report from Prudential Fox and Roach, there were 300 properties that closed from January to June, compared with 289 from last year.

The first half of 2011 saw 227 settlements, up from 259 the prior year.

The median price of the properties that did sell in the first six months of 2013 increased 4 percent over the same period last year, from $267,500 to $278,000.

The average days on the market decreased by 26 percent from the first half of last year from 96 to 70 days.
