Slight Population Growth For Township By 2040: Study

Delaware County is expected to grow as well.

By the time 2040 rolls around, Haverford Township may see a small increase in people, predicts a study by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC).

While the study does not break the township down into towns, it does state that Haverford Township would only increase by 2 percent, from 2010 census poll’s 48,491 to 48,585 by 2040. That is only an increase of 94 people, if the prediction holds true.

Delaware County looks as if it will grow by 2 percent, from 558,979, again numbers taken from 2010’s census poll, to 569,983 by 2040, or an additional 11,004 people.
