Haverford Preliminary Budget Calls for 4.5 Percent Tax Hike

The budget will be up for final adoption on December 10.

Though it wouldn’t be finalized until December 10, the Main Line Media News is reporting that the Haverford Township Commissioners approved a preliminary budget last week that would raise taxes by 4.52 percent.

Some highlights from the budget.

  • The millage would increase from 6.689 to 6.992. Under the proposal, a residential property owner with a $142,000 assessment would see a $45 increase.
  • Sewer fees would stay at $4.50 per 1,000 gallons.
  • Trash fees would increase $12, to $187.
