County Employees to Get Two Percent Pay Raise in 2013

The county raised taxes 2.8 percent.

It’s good work if you can get it.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, for the third straight year, all Delco employees will receive two percent pay raises.

Delaware County Council Chairman Tom McGarrigle explained to the paper that most of the county’s unionized employees receive two percent raises each year, so it made sense to extend the raises to all county workers.

The county’s most highly paid employee is Medical Examiner Dr. Fredric N. Hellman, who will bring in a salary of $203,048 in 2013.

In December, the Delaware County Council approved a 2013 budget that calls for a 2.8 percent tax hike.
