Commissioners to Discuss New Police Vehicles, Zoning Change

The commissioners will vote on whether to spend $55,166 on two new Ford Explorers.

The Haverford Township Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing Monday night, before its regular meeting, to discuss a zoning change at 833 Buck Lane.

The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m., "to propose revising [the township] Zoning map by reclassifying the zoning of the property at 833 Buck Lane, Haverford, PA, known as Delaware County Folio No. 22-05-00138-00, from R-1A Low-Density Residential to INS Institutional District."

At the regular business meeting at 7:30 p.m., the commissioners will vote on scheduling a public hearing for Feb. 4 regarding outdoor dining regulations.

Among the voting items on the agenda is the proposed purchase of two new police vehicles:

To authorize the purchase of (2) 2013 Ford Explorer Utility Police interceptor AWD 500 A Package, COSTARS Contract # 197967,  $27,583 each, for a grand total of $55,166.00, from Pacifico Marple Auto Group, 3015 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA  19008.
