Commissioners Could Declare Disaster Emergency

The agenda for Tuesday's commissioners meeting is available.

The Haverford Township Board of Commissioners could declare a Disaster Emergency in the wake of Hurricane Sandy at its Meeting Tuesday night.

According to the commissioners' agenda posted on the Haverford Township website, the commissioners will vote on a motion to declare a disaster emergency in Haverford township, which would allow the township's emergency management coordinator to "take all appropriate aid action needed to alleviate the effete of the disaster and authorize the township to act as necessary."

The Haverford Commissioners meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
