Unusual Theft From a Car Reported in Haverford

Police say a thief only needed a screwdriver to pull off this crime in a local shopping center parking lot.

Haverford Police are investigating a theft from a car that is difficult to guard against.

According to police, a license plate and sticker were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Manoa Shopping Center in the 1300 block of West Chester Pike.

The crime was reported on Feb. 28 at 1:20 p.m. Pennsylvania car registrations expire on the last day of the month. Police do not make any link to that coincidence in the blotter report on this incident.

Haverford Police are investigating an unrelated incident that happened on Feb. 28 at 8:53 p.m. In this case, police say loose change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2900 Block of Belmont Avenue.
