Two in Custody Following Havertown Bank Robbery

Nearby Linwood Elementary school was on a precautionary lockdown during the manhunt.

A bank in Havertown was robbed Thursday afternoon, and two suspects are in custody, Haverford Township Police said.

The Santander Bank in the Manoa Shopping Center was robbed around 2 p.m. Thursday, CBS reported. The robbers implied that they had a weapon, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police launched a full-scale search, CBS said, making use of multiple K9 units. Nearby Linwood Elementary school was on a precautionary lockdown during the search.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the robbery, CBS said. Their names have not been released.
