Resident Halts Theft, Others Not So Lucky

Read reports of thefts from last week in Haverford Township.

Haverford Police received reports about a number of thefts last week.

A victim reported that her iPhone was stolen from the gymnasium at Haverford High School in the 200 block of Mill Road on September 19.

A cell phone was reported stolen from McDonalds in the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on September 19.

A laptop computer was reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on September 20.

Someone reported that his unlocked car was entered and loose change was stolen in the 600 block of Kenilworth Road on September 20. However, the victim found two iPods, a knife and flashlight on the floor of the car that did not belong to him.

A woman reported that she saw a man inside her car in the 1100 block of Bon Air Avenue on September 20 around 8:30 p.m. The suspect fled when approached by the victim. A Coach hand clutch, prescription eyeglasses and an iPod nano were stolen from the car.

A resident of the 200 block of Whitemarsh Road reported that two men started to take two skateboards from her lawn on September 22 around 7:15 p.m. When her children confronted the men they put the skateboards back on the lawn and fled in a maroon-colored Ford Explorer.
