‘Quadrangle Trio’ Plead Not Guilty

Ayesha Muhammad, Samirah Traynham and Tyrina Griffin each pleaded not guilty to the charges against them during their formal arraignment hearings on Thursday.

The three women who are accused of allegedly abusing and harassing a 78-year-old dementia patient in their care at the each pleaded not guilty at their formal arraignment hearings on Thursday.

The Delaware County Courthouse’s Audio Visual Department Director Donna Garchinsky told the Haverford-Havertown Patch in a Friday afternoon phone interview that Ayesha Muhammad, and each pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

The three defendants are currently charged with simple assault, criminal conspiracy, neglect of care-dependent person, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment, with all charges stemming from the alleged abuse that occurred while they were healthcare workers at the Quadrangle Nursing Facility.

The three allegedly harassed and abused Lois McCallister while under their care, authorities claim.

The case came about when McCallister’s son-in-law, Paul French, installed a hidden camera in McCallister's room, which captured the .

In one of the videos, the three accused are seen allegedly harassing McCallister and even forcing her to stand topless during a March 31, 2011 encounter.

After an investigation by the Department of Public Welfare, Quadrangle due to numerous violations.  Quadrangle later had its license .

The women will have their pretrial conferences with Judge Kevin F. Kelly on July 25, Garchinsky said.
