Prescription Medication Robbery on Township Line Road, Police Say

According to Haverford police, the defendant stole medication from the car of a man who had just visited a pharmacy.

The following incidents were reported by the Haverford Township Police Department. Arrest does not suggest conviction.

Burglary at Vernon Medical Center (300 block of West Chester Pike) on January 30 at 9:04 a.m. Unknown persons gained entry by prying open a fire escape door. Nothing was reported missing.

Simple Assault at Veterans Field (unit block of W. Manoa Road) on January 30 at 3:55 p.m. A juvenile victim reported that another juvenile assaulted him as he walked through the field. The boy, 14, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Drug Equipment Violations at West Chester Pike and Lawrence Road on January 30 at 9:10 a.m. While conducting a vehicle stop the officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana. It was determined the drivers did not have valid driver's license, registration or insurance. Police located marijuana and drug paraphernalia during an inventory search of the vehicle. Calvin Jenkins was arrested and charged.    

Robbery (Strong Arm) at the 1200 block of W. Township Line Road on January 31 at 4:38 p.m. Victim reported that Nicholas Gentile entered the rear of his car and stole prescription medication he picked up the from the pharmacy and then fled on foot. Gentile was arrested and charged.

Bicycle Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on January 31 at 5:40 p.m.

Theft at the Quadrangle (3300 block of Darby Road) on February 1 at 7:34 p.m. The victim reported her purse, containing $60 and credit cards, was stolen from her closet in her apartment.

Bicycle Theft at Haverford College (300 block of W. Lancaster Avenue) on February 2 at 10:38 a.m.

Bicycle Theft at the 2700 block of Morris Road on February 2 at 7:04 p.m.  

Vandalism at Railroad and Preston Avenues on February 2 at 10:42 a.m. A rock was thrown through the victim's vehicle window.

Fraud at the 100 block of Mill Road on February 3 at 4:43 p.m. Victim reported that her and her son's debit card were used by an unknown person at different times without their permission or knowledge. 

Vandalism at the unit block of Garlor Road on February 3 at 3:13 p.m. Residence was egged.

Burglary at the 2700 block of Oakford Road on February 4 at 6:53 p.m. Forced entry was gain through a rear door. Two televisions, laptop, six bottles of wine and a jewelry box containing several pieces of jewelry were stolen.

Fraud at Radio Shack (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on February 4 at 3:16 p.m. Store manager reported that two Hispanic males attempted fraudulent use of a credit card.

Identity Theft at the 200 block of Marple Road on February 4 at 1:45 p.m. Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using his identity.

Vandalism at the 2100 block of County Line Road on February 4 at 9:43 a.m. Rear view mirror was damaged.

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on February 5 at 2:18 p.m. Laptop was stolen from an unattended backpack.

Theft at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on February 5 at 3:33 p.m. Victim reported that someone pried the hinges off the gate to his storage locker at his apartment and removed a humidifier, space heater and a ladder.
