Police: Suspect Confesses to August 7-Eleven Robbery

Jordan Smith-Hobson confessed to robbing a second store in Chester as well.

A 20-year-old Ardmore man confessed last month to robbing a pair of 7-Eleven convenience stores over the summer, one of which is located in the Haverford area, the Delaware County Daily Times is reporting.

According to the paper, Jordan Smith-Hobson, a resident of the 200 block of Delmont Avenue, told Haverford Police detective TJ Long and a Chester Police detective he robbed the 7-Elevens because he had a problem with drugs and alcohol and needed the money.

The area store, located at 2606 Haverford Road, was robbed on August 13. The suspect, as he did in an August 5 7-Eleven robbery in Chester,  had his face covered when he entered the store.
