Police: Men With Gun Break Into Havertown Home

The police are on the lookout for the suspects.

Between four to five men allegedly broke into a Havertown home Thursday night and allegedly pointed a semi-automatic gun at the homeowners while demanding money, according to the .

In a press release to the media on Friday morning, the police department stated that the home invasion robbery occurred on Thursday at 8:11 p.m. at the home in the 600 block of Paddock Road.

According to police, an Asian couple and their son were in the second-floor bedroom when they heard a “crash” at their front door.

“The female victim stated she and her husband were met in the hallway (believed to be the upstairs hallway) by 4 to 5 black males wearing black clothing and ski masks, demanding money as one of the actors pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her. She stated she went down to her knees and covered her eyes with her hands, and upon doing so, one of the actors duct taped her hands,” the press release stated.

One of the men took an undetermined amount of money from a small wallet from the woman’s back pocket, the press release stated.

One of the male victims made his way into another bedroom, shut the door and called 911. At some point the victims believed that the men left their home and they went downstairs into their kitchen, only for one of the men to return and allegedly pointed a handgun at them and demanded money, the press release continued.

When no money could be found, the man left the home through the front door.

“Witnesses at the scene observed the actors driving away from the residence in a grey 4-door vehicle, no further description,” stated the press release.
