Police: Man Head-Butts Girlfriend While Driving

Police say the woman's five-month-old son was in the car at the time of the attack.

A Havertown man allegedly viciously assaulted his girlfriend while driving, the Delaware County Daily Times is reporting.

James Foreman, 30, of Darby Road, is alleged to have, during an argument the couple was having, grabbed his girlfriend by the hair and struck her many times, including a head-butt, while he was driving a car in the Upper Darby area. The incident happened at 10:45 p.m. on September 26.

The woman suffered a chipped tooth and a swollen eye as a result of the attack, according to Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood. Police say her five-month-old son was in the vehicle at the time of the alleged assault.

Foreman was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats and harassment.
