Police Make Drug Arrest on West Chester Pike

A Philadelphia man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Haverford Township Police made a drug arrest of a Philadelphia man on West Chester Pike Wednesday morning, the department confirmed.

According to Sgt. Shant Bedrosian, at 9:10 a.m. a township officer on patrol observed a vehicle displaying expired registration. The car was pulled over near the intersection of West Chester Pike and and Lawrence Road.

While in conversation with the driver, Calvin Lamar Jenkins, 22, the officer noted a smell of marijuana and learned that, in addition to the suspended registration, the driver's license was suspended as well.

Police towed the vehicle and, during a subsequent search, discovered drug paraphernalia in it.

Jenkins was arrested and charged with, in addition to his driving offenses, possession of drug paraphernalia.
