Police Get Havertown Burglary Calls

Read about two recent incidents.

 

Police were called to the 300 block of Oxford Road on May 12 at 8:45 a.m. for the report of a burglary. According to police, someone went into the victim's home though an unlocked door and stole $31 and car keys from her purse.

The following day, police were called to the 2700 block of Chestnut Avenue around 3 a.m. for the report of someone trying to break into a home. According to police, a 51-year-old Havertown man was found on the home's porch. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and institutional vandalism.
