Police: Drug Arrest at Haverford High School

A 15-year-old student was arrested and charged on October 15.

The following incident reports were provided by the Haverford Township Police Department. Arrest does not suggest conviction. 

Theft at the 200 block of Mill Road on 10/10 at 1:29 p.m.Two school banners were taken from the football field area.

Theft at Trinity Lutheran (1100 block of West Chester Pike) on 10/10 at 9:51 a.m. Six copper gutters were removed from the building.

Theft at Bryn Mawr Terrace (700 block of Haverford Road) on 10/10 at 12:41 p.m. $100 was stolen from the victim's room.

Theft at LA Fitness (400 block of West Chester Pike) on 10/10 at 6:49 p.m. Unsecured locker was entered, iPhone was stolen.

Criminal Mischief at the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue on 10/10 at 6:30 p.m. Residence was egged.

Vandalism at the 2300 block of Oakmont Avenue on 10/10 at 11 p.m. Vehicle window was shattered.

Vandalism at the 100 block of Juniper Road on 10/10 at 11:33 p.m. Vehicle was scratched.

Theft at the 200 block of Warrior Road on 10/11 at 11:53 a.m. Trombone was stolen from the victim's driveway. The father placed the instrument in the driveway and when he returned with his son it was missing.

Fraud at Sovereign Bank (100 block of N. Eagle Road) on 10/11 at 8:48 a.m. Victim reported two charges with her debit card without her permission or knowledge.

Vandalism at the 500 block of Twin Oaks Drive on 10/11 at 6:19 p.m. Residence was egged.

Theft at St. Georges Church (unit block of W. Ardmore Avenue) on 10/12 at 6:25 p.m. Down spout was stolen from the rear of the church.

Motor Vehicle Theft at the 600 block of Loraine Street on 10/12 at 9:50 a.m. Victim reported that he parked his vehicle at the above location when it ran out of gas in August. When he returned to the vehicle two months later he discovered it was stolen.

Vandalism at the 800 block of West Chester Pike on 10/12 at 8:56 a.m. Vehicle side view mirror was damaged and the rear quarter panel was dented.

Liquor Law Violation at Darby Road and Brookline Boulevard on 10/12 11:46 a.m. Juvenile was cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

Burglary at the 1500 block of Brierwood Road on 10/13 at 1:44 a.m. Officer responded to the above location for a burglary in progress. A white male fled the residence through an upstairs window upon police arrival. $120 was reported missing from the victim's purse.

Fraud at Southmore Court Apartments (2000 block of E. Darby Road) on 10/13 at 8:22 p.m. Victim reported that an unknown person made a purchase using her debit card without her permission or knowledge.  

Public Drunkenness at the 2600 block of County Line Road on 10/13 9:24 p.m. A man, 55, of the 100 block of Burmont Road, was cited for public drunkenness.

Theft at the 1600 block of Earlington Road on 10/14 at 6:30 p.m. Vehicle was entered - portable printer and computer charger was stolen.

Vandalism at the 300 block of Spring Road on 10/14 9:24 a.m. Vehicle tail light was damaged.

Narcotics at West Chester Pike and Lawrence Road on 10/14 at 12:10 a.m. While conducting a vehicle stop the officer detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver. The driver, William Griffin, was in possession of marijuana and cocaine. Griffin was arrested and charged.

Public Drunkenness at Nineteen 19 Bar and Grill (1200 block of West Chester Pike) on 10/14 at 1:40 a.m. A man, 22, of the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Counterfeiting at Haverford High School (200 block of Mill Road) on 10/15 1:21 p.m. Principal reported that a counterfeit twenty dollar bill was passed in the cafeteria.

Drug Equipment Violations at Haverford High School (200 block of Mill Road) on 10/15 12:56 p.m. A juvenile was in possession of a smoking pipe. The pipe had an odor of burnt marijuana. The juvenile was arrested and charged.

Burglary (no force) at the 500 block of Harrington Road on 10/16 at 7:24 p.m. An unknown person entered the residence and stole $11 and iPod adapter.

Fraud at the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on 10/16 at 1:22 p.m. Victim reported that someone made a large purchase with her credit card without her permission or knowledge.

Identity Theft at the 1700 block of Green Valley Road on 10/16 at 5:45 p.m. Victim reported that several credit cards were opened up using his identity.

Vandalism at the 2400 block of Merwood Lane on 10/16 at 5:36 p.m. Vehicle tire was punctured with a drill bit.
