The long time athletic director at Archbishop Carroll High School has been arrested on charges of unlawful contact with minors and corruption of minors, according to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Francis Murphy was arrested Friday and was being held on $250,000 cash bail.

Theft: A black Infiniti QX56 sport-utility vehicle was stolen from a driveway on the 400 block of Fishers Road in Bryn Mawr overnight between Monday, April 11, and Tuesday, April 12, police said. The vehicle had been unlocked with the keys (and a purse and wallet) inside. The vehicle was recovered 12 miles away Saturday, April 16, on the 7200 block of Yocum Street in southwest Philadelphia, police said. Its condition is unknown.

On April 7 at approximately 1:50 p.m., police responded to the Sussex building off of Lawrence Road for a reported theft of two exterior air conditioner unit. A man at the building told police that that they were stolen some time in the past six months, according to the incident report. The estimated cost to repair and replace the units were valued at about approximately $10,000.

On April 12 around 12:45 p.m., another man entered the police station to report that at approximately 5 p.m. on April 11 and 8 a.m. April 12, someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and had taken various  credit cards as well as his health insurance and social security cards. Police are still investigating this incident.

Robbery-A resident of the 9100 block of Crefeld Street reported April 16, 9:33 p.m., that a group of about 20 teenagers forced their way into the house, breaking a window and a picture frame, along with other items, valued in total at about $2,000, police said.

Dog Complaint

According to police, ... a resident of Milmar Road in Newtown Square reported that his neighbor's dog had chased him up his driveway and into his home. According to police, the canine, which is owned by Hal Doig, 83, of Loudan Lane in Newtown Square, has been reported for three similar violations in the past four years. The victim told officers that he wishes to pursue the matter in court.
