Lower Merion Township police reported a series of crimes and incidents Monday afternoon in a weekly briefing to news media.

A home on the 200 block of Righters Mill Road in Gladwyne is missing jewelry after a burglary Wednesday, police said. It appeared an exterior door to the living room had been forced open.

Unauthorized Use of Automobile–Dutton Mill Road between noon and 1 p.m. on March 25. Normal E. Powell, 34, of New Castle, Del., was charged in District Court 32-2-48 after taking the victim’s vehicle from her house without her permission, State Police said. Powell was involved in a reportable crash in Upper Chichester Township in which he was arrested for an outstanding warrant, State Police said.

Retail Theft–Boscov’s at the Granite Run Mall at approximately 7:14 p.m. on March 24. A juvenile removed a Nike hooded sweatshirt from the store without making payment, State Police said. The juvenile was apprehended by Boscov’s loss prevention outside of the store, State Police said. Charges will be filed in District Court 32-2-48.
