Police Blotter: Up To 20 Vehicles Illegally Entered

The following information comes from the Haverford Township Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

INCIDENTS:

Theft at the 300 block of Steel Road on 1/18 at 2:38 p.m. — A vehicle was entered — laptop and GPS were stolen.

Theft at the unit block of Annabella Avenue on 1/18 at 1:19 p.m. — An unlocked vehicle was entered — insurance card was taken from the glove box. 

Identity Theft at the 100 block of Flintlock Road on 1/18 at 5:04 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person made multiple purchases using his debit card without his permission or knowledge.

Burglary (no force) at the 1500 block of Delmont Road on 1/20 at 2:18 p.m. — A laptop and iPad were stolen from the unsecured residence.

Fraud at Beneficial Savings Bank (1200 block of W. Township Line Road) on 1/20 at 3:28 p.m. — An employee reported that a juvenile male requested to exchange his cash for larger bills. Five counterfeit $20 bills were rejected in the adding machine.

Liquor Law Violation at Chatham Park School (400 block of Allston Road) on 1/20 at 10:28 p.m. — Officer were dispatched to the above location for a fight. Upon arrival there was no fight however a white 15-year-old female smelled of alcoholic beverage. The juvenile was cited for underage drinking and released to her mother.

Theft at the 1400 block of Fairview Avenue on 1/21 at 10:10 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — $1,600 worth of tools were stolen.

Theft at the 300 block of S. Manoa Road on 1/21 at 6:18 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — iPod was stolen.

Theft at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on 1/21 at 10:44 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — backpack was stolen.

Theft at the 300 block of S. Manoa Road on 1/21 at 12:10 p.m. — Two unlocked vehicles were entered — loose change and a GPS were stolen.

Theft at the unit block of Rodmor Road on 1/21 at 6:27 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the unit block of N. Belfield Road on 1/21 at 8:35 a.m. — Two unlocked vehicle's were entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 200 block of N. Drexel Avenue on 1/21 at 9:36 a.m. — Two unlocked vehicles were entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the unit block of Rodmor Road on 1/21 at 10:12 a.m. — unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 1400 block of Fairview Avenue on 1/21 at 9:55 a.m. — Two unsecured vehicles were entered — loose change was stolen and the in dash GPS screen was smashed.

Attempted Theft at the unit block of N. Belfield Road on 1/21 at 8:35 a.m. — Vehicle was entered — nothing was reported missing.

Attempted Theft at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on 1/21 at 11:01 a.m. — Vehicle was entered and rummaged through — nothing was reported missing. 

Theft at the 300 block of S. Manoa Road on 1/22 at 2:12 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle entered — two gift cards and loose change was stolen.

Theft at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on 1/22 at 1:06 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered — loose change was stolen.

Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Signal Road on 1/22 at 12:27 p.m.

Simple Assault at Frankie's Café (unit block of S. Eagle Road) on 1/22 at 10:03 a.m. — Victim reported that Michael Inglese punched him in the jaw unexpectedly causing a laceration on his chin.  Inglese was arrested and charged.

Burglary at the 500 block of Virginia Avenue on 1/23 at 2:54 p.m. — Unknown person gained entry into the residence by smashing the glass in the rear door. Video game system, video games, iPod docking station and jewelry were stolen.

Aggravated Assault at the 2700 block of St. Mary's Street on 1/24 at 4:56 p.m. — Officers responded to the above location for a neighbor dispute. The victim reported that Robin Vaughan was highly intoxicated and began cursing, swinging his fists and threatening him. The victim was able to gain control of him until police arrived. Vaughan resisted arrested and kneed the officer in the groin. Vaughan was arrested and charged.

Theft at the 600 block of S. Eagle Road on 1/24 at 4:13 p.m. — Vehicle entered — loose change and four CD’s were stolen.

Theft at Devito Brothers and Sons (2500 block of Haverford Road) on 1/24 at 5:32 p.m. — Victim reported that two signs were stolen from his business.
