Police Blotter: Teen Charged With Drugs, Weapons

INCIDENTS:

Robbery at the unit block of Joann Circle on 11/30 at 10:04 a.m. — Victim reported that an unknown male knocked on her door and stated that he was with Occupy Philadelphia and asked to speak to her. When the subject entered the house he stated that it was a robbery. He asked for her jewelry and cash and fled the residence. (Editor’s note: To read more about this, .)

Theft at the unit block of N. Belfield Avenue on 11/30 at 2:03 p.m. — a box containing Ugg boots was stolen from the victim's porch.

Theft at the 200 block of Treaty Road on 11/30 at 2 p.m. — A witness reported that she saw a white female take a package that was delivered and place it in the trunk of her vehicle.

Identity Theft at the 2000 block of Oakmont Avenue on 11/30 at 5:39 p.m. — Victim reported several unauthorized charges on her unemployment debit card.

Vandalism at the 500 block of Ramblewood Drive on 11/30 at 3:16 p.m. — An unknown person knocked over two statues and pulled Christmas lights off of the victim's bushes.

Narcotics at the 400 block of Brentwood Avenue on 11/30 at 3:03 p.m. — Juvenile probation officer requested assistance with found weapons and drug paraphernalia. A white 17-year-old male was in possession of six bags of marijuana, 67 prescription pills, two boxes of unused syringes, a bag containing cocaine residue, air soft pellet gun, pocket knife and malt liquor. The juvenile was arrested and petitioned to juvenile court.

Narcotics at the unit block of Grove Place on 11/30 at 10:09 p.m. — Officers were dispatched for a suspicions vehicle. Upon arrival the officer observed two occupants. As the officer spoke to the driver, John Coladonato, he could detect the scent of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Coladonato was in possession of a bag of marijuana. The passenger, Vincent Kenny, was in possession of a smoking pipe. Coladonato and Kenny were arrested and charged.

Theft at Pudding Lane (unit block of Brookline Boulevard) on 12/1 at 9:24 p.m. — A tip jar was stolen

Theft at Haverford College (300 block of Lancaster Avenue) on 12/2 at 6:45 p.m. — Unlocked locker was entered — sneakers and cash were stolen.

Bicycle Theft at the 400 block of Septa Line on 12/2 at 5:55 p.m.

Theft at the 200 block of Steel Road on 12/2 at 4:40 p.m. — Packages were stolen from the victims' front porch.

Vandalism at the unit block of Derwen Drive on 12/2 at 9:44 a.m. —Silly string was sprayed on the victim’s vehicle.

Vandalism at the Haverford Middle School (1800 block of Darby Road) on 12/2 at 7:33 p.m. — Unknown juveniles threw a rock at the victim's vehicle causing the window to break.

Public Drunkenness at the 1300 block of 1300 block of Robinson Avenue on 12/2 at 8:22 p.m. — A resident reported that a white male was urinating in public. Upon arrival officers located Douglas Reider Jr., who appeared highly intoxicated and had slurred speech. Reider was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. 

Retail Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 12/3 at 2:45 p.m. — Efrosini Karvounis, 59, 800 block of Gainesboro Road, Drexel Hill, she was cited for the retail theft of $143 worth of merchandise.

Retail Theft at Kohl's on 12/3 at 8:53 p.m. — Jennifer C. Murdock, 47, 2000 block of N. 56th Street, Philadelphia, was cited for the retail theft of $66 worth of merchandise. 

Theft at the 200 block of Farnham Road on 12/3 at 12:28 p.m. — Cement lion was taken from the victim's driveway.

Theft at the 400 block of Olympic Avenue on 12/3 at 1:40 p.m. — The victim reported that a package was stolen from the front of her residence.

Theft at the 100 block of Llandaff Road on 12/4 at 9:19 a.m. — Victim reported that his ladder was stolen from his yard.

Burglary at Merion Country Club (400 block of Ardmore Avenue) on 12/5 at 9:44 a.m. — An employee reported that he discovered a torn screen and open window on the ground floor of the building and the motion sensor alarm was activated in the front lobby. Nothing appeared to be out of place or missing.

Fraud at the 1000 block of Darby Road on 12/5 at 6:26 p.m. — Victim reported that 20 purchases have been made using her business bank account without her permission or knowledge.

Liquor Law Violation at Old Lancaster and County Line Roads on 12/5 at 2:21 a.m. — While on patrol officers observed Michael Byrne stumbling in the street. Upon speaking with the subject the officer detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage. Byrne had slurred speech, was covered in dirt and had urinated in his pants. Byrne was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

Bicycle Theft at the 600 block of Haverford Road on 12/6 at 7:28 a.m.

Narcotics at the Haverford Senior High School (200 block of Mill Road) on 12/6 at 12:24 p.m. — The principal reported that he located marijuana and drug paraphernalia on a student. Juvenile allegation is pending.

Narcotics at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on 12/6 at 6:35 p.m. — While on patrol the officer observed in plain view a white juvenile female holding two small bags of marijuana. A box of wine was also located in the vehicle. The three other occupants Chelsey Donohue, 19, 3600 block of San Rafael Ct, Springfield, Cassandra Norman, 19, 200 block of Washington Avenue and Samuel Taulane, 18, 100 block of Lawrence Road, Broomall were cited for underage drinking. A white 17-year-old female was arrested and charged.
