Police Blotter: Teen Assaults Father

INCIDENTS:

Theft at the 1700 block of Mt. Pleasant Rd. on 6/15 at 8:05 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person stole her wedding ring from a crystal ring holder on her dresser.

Theft at the 600 block of Lorraine Street on 6/15 at 2:09 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person removed three out of her six signs advertising her basketball camp from lawns. Signs are valued at $30 each.

Theft at the Westgate Nursing and Rehab Center (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 6/15 at 9:25 a.m. — Victim reports that she left her purse on a table and went to a meeting. Upon returning, her purse was missing and it contained $6, Bank of America Credit/Debit Cards, Drivers License, Nursing License, and Social Security Card.

Fraud at the unit block of Eagle Road on 6/15 at 2:37 p.m. — Victim reports that over the past couple of months, a person forged several transactions in her name.

Criminal Mischief at Darby and Mill Roads on 6/15 at 3:07 p.m. — While driving at the above location, an unknown juvenile threw a rock at the victim’s van shattering the rear passenger side window.

Vandalism at the 1200 block of Manor Road on 6/15 at 11:51 a.m. — Graffiti was found on an electrical box on Peco pole #258.

Vandalism at the 500 block of Cumberland Road on 6/15 at 6:02 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person put an 18-inch scratch on his driver's side rear door sometime overnight.

Vandalism at the 500 block of Cumberland Road on 6/15 at 6:35 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person put a 3 to 4 foot long scratch on his driver's side doors.

Simple Assault at the unit block of Princeton Road on 6/15 at 8:11 p.m. — Officers were at the above location conducting an interview with the suspect and his parents. During the interview, the suspect pushed his father and knocked him to the ground. The suspect was placed under arrest. Consent to search his room was given by his parents where numerous drug paraphernalia was found. The 16-year-old male was arrested and charged.

Forgery at Kindred Hospital (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 6/16 at 4:34 p.m. — Victim reports that his girlfriend forged his signature on three checks totaling $30.

Fraud at the 100 block of Eagle Road on 6/16 at 4:41 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person gained access to her debit card and made an account with Microsoft which has been charging $9.99 a month from her account.

Theft at the unit block of James Drive on 6/16 at 8:54 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person made purchases in the amount of $2,500 without his permission using his Sun East Credit Card.

Theft at St. James Church (100 block of Myrtle Avenue) on 6/16 at 10:36 a.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person removed a large banner from the front of the church.

Fraud at the 400 block of Campbell Avenue on 6/18 at 2:52 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person made seven different transactions using his VISA account from May 23 to June 14.

Fraud at the 800 block of Ardmore Avenue on 6/18 at 9:23 a.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person made fraudulent purchases on his Discover Card.

Identity Theft at the 100 block of Eagle Road on 6/18 at 11:57 p.m. — Officers received a call of suspicious male entering cars. Suspect was found carrying a bank card not belonging to him. Suspect tried to use the card at 7-11 and was denied. Anthony Joseph Vecchione was arrested and charged.

Public Drunkenness at the Waterford Apartments (1900 block of Lawrence Road on 6/18 at 4:45 a.m. — Officers were dispatched to the above location for a subject down in the courtyard. Kacie Green, 27, 1900 block of Lawrence Road, Havertown was cited for public drunkenness.

Theft at the 500 block of Brookline Blvd. on 6/19 at 10:53 p.m. — Victim reports that numerous pieces of jewelry were taken from the unlocked safe in her bedroom. Her son also reports items missing from his bedroom as well.

Theft at the 1100 block of Edgewood Road on 6/19 at 10:31 a.m. — Victim reports that sometime during the night an unknown person removed 10 decorative fence post toppers from his property.

Theft at the 2800 block of Haverford Road on 6/19 at (Editor’s note: Time unknown) — Victim reports that sometime overnight an unknown person stole $2 to $3.00 in quarters out of her unlocked vehicle.

Theft at the 2800 block of Haverford Road on 6/19 at 1:06 p.m. — Victim reports that sometime during the night an unknown person stole $.50 out of her unlocked vehicle.

Fraud at the unit block of Meadows Lane on 6/19 at 2:13 p.m. — Victim reports that he lost his Notre Dame Federal Credit Union Visa check card. An unknown person made three purchases without his permission.

Theft at Kohl's (200 block of West Chester Pike) on 6/20 at 5:34 p.m. — Officers responded to the above location for a retail theft. Ryan Hanley, 19, unit block of Linden Drive, Broomall and Soutiro A. Sapnas, 18, unit block of Pearson Circle, Springfield were cited for retail theft and released per Rule 519.

Theft at the 100 block of Harding Avenue on 6/20 at 9:04 p.m.— Victim reports that sometime over the weekend, an unknown person removed his registration sticker off of his work truck.

Arson at the 1000 block of Allston Road on 6/20 at 2:55 p.m. — Officer was dispatched to the above location for a brush fire. Upon officers' arrival, the fire was put out. Juveniles reported that a white colored vehicle with an unknown subject threw something at them while they were walking along Manoa Road. Vandalism at Septa Beechwood Substation (Karakung Drive) on 6/20 at 8:44 a.m. — While on patrol officer noticed black spray paint on the wall at the above location.

Burglary at the 400 block of Pembroke Road on 6/21 at 7:52 p.m. — Victim reports that an unknown person gained entry to their residence by forcing the rear door open. Several items were taken from their residence including a Sony 55" TV, a Sony 30" TV, Canon Powershot Camera and a jewelry box.

Theft at the 1000 block of Bon Air Road on 6/21 at 9:35 a.m. — Victim reports that sometime during the night, an unknown person entered their unsecured vehicles and stole a 4G iPod Nano.

Theft at the 1400 block of Brierwood Road on 6/21 at 5:36 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to the above location for a report of fireworks being set off. Witnesses stated that it was a male juvenile in an orange t-shirt. Juvenile was located and admitted to setting off the fireworks and stealing them from the Dollar Store in Manoa shopping center. The 12-year-old male, 700 block of Eagle Road, Havertown was cited for disorderly conduct and released to a guardian.

Theft at the 600 block of Manoa Road on 6/21 at 1:48 p.m. — Victim reports that sometime during the night, unknown person stole four out of the five American Flags in his garden.

Simple Assault at Veterans Field (unit block of Manoa Road) on 6/21 at 11:15 p.m.— Victim reports that she was assaulted at the above location by two juvenile females.
